Gionee to invest $50 million to make handsets, ropes in Foxconn and Dixon

Chinese smartphone maker Gionee is all set to invest USD 50 million over next three years to make handsets in India. The company will engage global manufacturers Foxconn and Dixon to begin the production in the country. Foxconn will manufacture F Series and P Series phones from the existing Gionee portfolio while Dixon will be make feature phones and other smartphones for Gionee.
