Indian origin Middle Schooler Designs Sensor For Visually-Impaired, Wins Award

Raghav Ganesh a seventh grade student at Joaquin Miller Middle School in San Jose, Calif. won the 2015 Prudential Spirit of Community Awards for his outstanding achievements in community service positioning himself as the only Indian American winner. He has designed a device that uses sensors to detect objects beyond the reach of canes used by many visually-impaired people.
